And the Three stood before the Men and the Women, and said," Hear
now a great Mystery, for We are but One. You see Us as Three, and Nine,
and Many, and this is as you will, but know We are One, then, now and
always, and We are always present, with you, in all that is."
And the Lord turned, and spoke to the Men and the Women, and
said:
"You are a Child of the Goddess, a daughter or a son of the God,
and you are here in joy. Live your life to its fullest, taking the good
with the bad and learning from each."
"Enjoy love, giving yourself to your lover as you will, but not
so much that you lose your Self, and take that which is given by your
lover, but not so much as to empty them of Selfhood. You are both
individuals who are walking together, side by side, in equal partnership,
and if your paths should separate, then so be it. Separate in joy, not
hate."
"Love. Love life, love your fellow humans, and love our Brothers
and Sisters in fur, feather and scale. Love your Mother Earth. You are
caretakers of the planet; this is your Home."
"Work. Do not live from the bounty of others, but live of your
own, as an independent member of the whole. If you must take charity,
take it in good grace, and return what you have been loaned therefrom
when you can, be it in kind, or by whatever means you have."
"Give. Give to those in need, and to those that hunger or thirst.
Give not to inflate yourself, and to show others your magniminity, but
give from a love for your fellow humans. Give of your substance, but more
importantly, give a helping hand, that the person helped may support
themselves, free from obligation."
"Teach. Teach your children and teach others, not by words, for
words can twist and lie, but by your own example. Teach Kindness, and
Understanding, and Joy, but most of all, teach Love. If you must
discipline your children, discipline in love, not anger."
"Think. Think before you speak. Think before you act. Consider
your words and actions, and the effect they will have on others."
"Learn. Learn from all, for even a fool may speak wisdom
unknowingly. Most of all, learn thru the wide eyes of a Child, seeing for
the first time."
"Ask. If you do not know, ask. If you are unsure, ask. If you are
sure...ask again."
"Speak the Truth. Live the Truth. Love the Truth. Seek after the
Truth."
"Harm none. Love all. For it is written, and it is undoubtedly
so, that what you have done to the least and smallest, you have done to
the Deity."
And the Fool spoke, and said, "Hark you, and hear!"
"Whenever ye have need of any thing, once in the month, and
better it be when the moon is full, then shall ye assemble in some secret
place and adore the spirit of She, who is Queen of All. There shall ye
assemble, ye who are fain to learn all art, yet have not won its deepest
secrets; to these will She teach things that are yet unknown."
"And ye shall be free from slavery; and as a sign that ye be
really free, ye shall be clothed as ye wish in your rites; and ye shall
dance, sing, feast, make music and love, all in Her praise. For Hers is
the ecstasy of the spirit, and Hers also is joy on earth; for Her law is
love unto all beings."
"Keep pure your highest ideal; strive ever towards it; let
naught stop you or turn you aside. For Hers is the secret door which
opens upon the land of youth and Hers is the cup of wine of life, and the
cauldron of Cerridwen, which is the Grail of immortality. She is the
gracious Goddess, who gives the gift of joy unto the heart of man. Upon
earth, She gave the knowledge of the spirit eternal; and beyond death,
She gives peace and freedom, and reunion with those who have gone before.
Nor does She demand sacrifice, for behold, She is the mother of all
living, and Her love is poured out upon the earth."
"She who is the beauty of the green earth, and the white moon
among the stars, and the mystery of the waters, the winds of the soul,
and the fire of the heart of man, calls unto each. Arise, and come unto
Her. For She is the soul of nature, who gives life to the universe. from
Her all things proceed, and unto Her all things must return; and before
Her face, beloved of gods and men, let thine innermost divine self be
enfolded in the rapture of the infinite."
"Let Her worship be within the heart that rejoiceth; for
behold, all acts of love and joy are Her rituals. And therefore let there
be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility, mirth
and reverence within you. And thou who thinkest to seek Her, know thy
seeking and yearning shall avail thee not unless thou knowest the
mystery: that if That which thou seekest thou findest not within thee,
then thou wilt never find It without thee. For behold, She has been with
thee from the beginning; and She is That which is attained at the end of
desire." 1
And the Lady spoke, and Her Voice was the sound of singing, and
She said:
"Little children! Love one another, for Love is All of the Law.
And insofar as you harm none, you may do as you will."
"Question everything, and prove it to be good by the fruits
thereof, for good will bear a delicious fruit, and evil a rotten one. And
be not swayed by that which may seem ripe and sweet on the outside, but
look within, for an unseen worm may dwell there, and it will sicken
thee."
"Laws are made by Man to govern Man. Obey them, and by obeying
live in peace with your neighbors. But if your concience refuse a man-
made law, then seek to change it, in peace, harming none."
"If you perceive a problem, look not for only two sides therein,
but see the third side of it, or even the fourth. Look to both sides, and
behind and before it, and above and below it. See the Whole, and the
parts thereof."
"Do not hate those who know Us not, but realize they have seen
but a small part of the Whole, and think it to be the All. They are My
children, as much as you are."
"Do not hate those of a different form or shape, for you see Us
in your shape, and they see Us in theirs. All things living are Our
children, and all things living join in the Dance."
"You are responsible for yourself, and for your actions. Blame
not, neither accept guilt, but learn from your mistakes, and that which
is too great for you to bear, give to Me, and I will bear it for you."
"Tell no lie, but if the truth be too hard for another to bear,
then speak not."
"Fear not Death, for it is a Friend and a beginning, not an end.
For indeed there is a small spark of Us in you, and that is immortal for
ever."
"Respect yourself, and love yourself, and respect and love your
neighbor likewise, for all of the Law is LOVE."
"Love one another, little children."
Thus it was, and so it is, and evermore shall be so!
