THE THREE WHO ARE NINE AND ONE

The Lady stands in Her three Aspects: the nurturing Mother, garbed in the rainments of the fruitful land, adorned with the glories of the Heavens, with seven stars about Her head, and the crescent moon under Her feet, eyes full of wisdom and yearning, and holding a cornucopia that spills forth the bounty of the fields. Beside Her stands the shy Maiden, clad in the flowers of newborn Spring, eyes twinkling with possibilities, and offering a Chalice. With them stands the Crone, robed in the colors of the Void, adorned in stark Reality, watching with unfathomable eyes and wielding a Scythe.

The Lord stands in His three Aspects: The Sacred King, Grandfather, in the prime of life, with a beard shot with grey and a scarlet cloak, eyes full of sorrow and knowing, surveying the lands from which He sprang, guarding the people whose lives He holds in His Hands, leaning upon a Sword. He holds within the circle of his arm Himself as the Youth, a Child that smiles, and laughs with the eyes of the ancients. Beside Them is the Hunter, dressed in the colors of the forest and leaning upon a bow, and laughing with the exuberance of being alive.

The Holy Fool stands in It's three Aspects: Transformer, young and wise, bearing a Staff enwined with a serpent. He looks at Trickster, dressed as a Harlequin, with a single tear upon Her cheek and a Mirror in His hand held before the Face of Chaos, who has no face, but is hooded and robed in whitest black.

The Lord and Lady dance in a great Circle and a greater Spiral, singing the MultiVerses into and out of Being, and the Holy Fool dances around Them, in a never ending Moebius spiral, and a single tear glistens upon Her cheek, as He holds the Mirror to It's Face.

Thus it was, and so it is, and evermore shall be so!
