That Walpurgisnacht, the 30th of April, Miskatonic student Walter Gilman died mysteriously after a series of strange dreams.

In August, Dunwich rustic Wilbur Whateley died attempting to steal the Necronomicon from the school's library, revealing himself as the spawn of Yog-Sothoth. Drs. Armitage, Morgan and Rice of Miskatonic U destroyed the Dunwich horror in mid-September, after deciphering Whateley's diaries.

Also in September, Albert Wilmarth was almost abducted by a Mi-Go posing as his friend Henry Akeley.

We must not forget the Accident of 1928 either.
