Of course, then there's the story of Garbage Claus..........

As children, we decided that the man carrying the large sack of trash and garbage down the street was Garbage Claus.

Each Halloween, he would slide up from the toilet with a large sack of garbage and give all the little bad children garbage for Halloween presents under their Halloween pumpkins.

He rode thru the sky in a garbage truck, yelling "Shut Up!" and other Parental Sayings.

We even sang a "Garbage Carol:"

To the tune of "God Save The King"
("My Country Tis of Thee" to you Yanks out there)

My country's tired of me
I'm going to Germany
To see the King
His name is Donald Duck
He drives a garbage truck
From every mountainside
Let garbage fling.

We thought it was pretty funny. We were only about ten or eleven years old.

I still occasionally mutter a small "Ho Ho Ho" as I take out the trash. And I taught the song to my kids.
